Indians Tame The Trojans For First Win

Fairfield, Iowa – The defending Class 3A Boys State Basketball Champions began their 2019-2020 title defense on December 3rd against Fairfield.

The Indians outscored the Trojans 12-10 in the first quarter and 34-18 in the second quarter to head into the locker room.

The Indians then outscored the Trojans in the third and fourth quarter to claim the 67-45 win.

ISU Commit and Oskaloosa Senior Xavier Foster had 28 points on the night and pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked 5 shots. Foster also had 4 assists and 5 steals in the effort.

Noah Van Veldhuizen had 11 points on the night and pulled down 2 rebounds and dished up an assist.

Keaton Flaherty came off the bench to add 9 points and pull down 5 rebounds, with 3 assists and 3 steals.
