Indians Girls Struggling To Find Their Groove

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Girls Basketball Team has dropped their last 3 games after winning their season opener.

Those losses included Fairfield, Grinnell at home, and Knoxville.

The Indians struggled to find the bottom of the net in Fairfield, eventually falling 56-17.

Amanda Fay led the charge for the Indians with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Mary Nelson added 7 points in the contest and had 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Makenna Schaffner had 4 rebounds and 2 assists off the bench.

Kaylee Johnson, Ashlee Smith, each had a blocked shot.

At home against Grinnell on December 6th, the Indians battled against the perennial powerhouse Grinnell but ultimately fell 69-48.

Mary Nelson lead all scorers with 16 points while pulling down 7 rebounds and dishing out the ball 6 times. Jillian Jennings had 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort.

Amanda Fay had 10 points and 7 rebounds, while Kaylee Johnson added 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists. Macie Krier added 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Makenna Schaffner came off the bench to pull down seven rebounds and dish out two assists, and Ashlee Smith added 3 points, two rebounds, and an assist.

The team traveled to Knoxville on December 7th, where the Panthers claimed the win 66-24 over the Indians.
