Gov. Terry E. Branstad praises House for passing two-year transportation budget

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today praised the Iowa House of Representatives for passing HF 642, a two-year Department of Transportation budget. Gov. Branstad has previously insisted the Legislature pass a biennial budget to provide more predictability and stability.

“The House took a bold and important first step in passing a two-year transportation budget,” said Branstad. “I want to thank them for helping me put Iowa on a path to a sustainable budget future.”

HF 642 now moves to the Senate for consideration.
