Gov. Branstad, Lt. Gov. Reynolds to Honor Police Officers, Firefighters with Sullivan Brothers’ Award of Valor

State of Iowa Seal

(DES MOINES)- Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds are pleased to honor eight police officers and firefighters with the 2011 Sullivan Brothers’ Award of Valor. Every day men and women in uniform quietly serve, sacrificing their safety to keep Iowa communities secure. It is only appropriate the state take time to honor the officers and firefighters who go above and beyond the call of duty. This year, Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Reynolds will honor professionals involved in mitigating two very serious motor vehicle crashes in Lee County and Mason City.
