Goodman rejoins Central women’s soccer staff

Central College

PELLA— Russ Goodman returns to the Central College staff as assistant women’s soccer coach after previously assisting from 2001-07.

He again is working with the Dutch goalkeepers.

Goodman, who will serve with new Dutch head coach Mike Kobylinski, also coached the Pella Soccer Club premier girls’ team for 1.5 seasons, winning the NSC Cup in Blaine, Minn. in 2009.

During his tenure at Central, Goodman’s goalkeepers earned all-Iowa Conference recognition three times. He has a USSF D License Coaching Certificate and a Goalkeeping Advanced Level II Diploma.

Also a soccer game official, Goodman received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas-Arlington, with a doctoral degree from the University of Oklahoma. A Pittsburgh, Pa. native, Goodman serves as an associate professor of mathematics at Central.
