Frank Beadle, Jr., 82, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home in Oskaloosa. He was born Thursday, January 9, 1936, in Oskaloosa, the son of Frank and Dorothy Beadle, Sr.

Frank graduated from the Oskaloosa High School with the Class of 1954. He later joined the U.S. Army.

On June 21, 1958, Frank was united in marriage to Beverly Russell in Oskaloosa.

Frank worked for many years as a plumber in the Oskaloosa area. He later drove a maintainer in Mahaska County until his retirement in 2001.

Frank loved western movies, camping, mushroom hunting, fishing and hunting. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Beverly Beadle of Oskaloosa; two daughters: Tammy (& David) Scholtus of Oskaloosa and Lisa (& Randy) VerSteeg of Sevierville, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Justin (& Jessica) VerSteeg, Josh (& Cory) VerSteeg, Tasha (& Brock) Lyon and Tonya (& Matt) Boeck; and three great grandchildren: Zion, Claira and Conner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Kenny, Larry, Rex, Paul, Dan and Dale; and two sisters: Loretta “Susie” and Evelyn.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 1:30 P.M. in the Beacon Cemetery near Beacon with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating.
Graveside military rites will be given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018, in the Bates Funeral Chapel from 11:30 A.M. until 1:10 P.M.
A procession will form at 1:10 P.M. for those wishing to go to the cemetery.
