Foster Commits To Play For Iowa State
Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa Senior Xavier Foster commits to play basketball for Iowa State University in an announcement on Monday morning.
Xavier and his parents Kristi and DaJuan sat with Xavier as he thanked those who helped to influence him.
A quick comment from mom to look up brought a smile to the face of Xavier just before making his highly anticipated announcement.
“I would like to thank everybody for coming and following me throughout my long recruitment,” said Xavier as he opened his statement.
“I would like to thank my grandparents for being a motivation for me. My parents for keeping me in line. My coaches, Ryan Parker, my high school coach, and Burchette Greer for seeing the talent in me before anyone else did,” added Foster.
Coaches and fans alike then tuned in as Foster said, “I’d like to take this time to say that I will be committing to Iowa State University.”
Xavier and his parents then spread out, answering questions from journalists around Iowa to learn more about Xavier, and his decision to attend Iowa State.
Foster was offered his first opportunity by the University of Iowa to play basketball for them, even before Xavier had ever stepped on the floor to play high school basketball.
From that point on, it’s been three years of speculation as to where the now 7-foot, 4-star talent would end up.
