Firefighters work the scene of a structure fire in Hedrick on Sunday night.

Hedrick, Iowa -The call for help rang out around 8:30 pm Sunday evening to the Hedrick Fire Department for a structure fire located near the fire departments rear entrance. The fire was in, what was once, an auto body repair shop and car wash. The connected structures are now owned by a gentleman that collects older tractors and had several stored at the location.

Hedrick Fire Chief Steve Copeland said that at this early point into the investigation, there is no indication on how the fire started.

Assisting Hedrick at the fire was Sigourney. They responded to the mutual aid request from Hedrick. Also at the scene was Fremont and Agency fire departments, who worked to deliver water to the fire after water pressure had become low. At least 30 firefighters worked to control the blaze.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
