Ehresman, Nwagbaraocha Win January POM Awards

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced the recipients of the January Player of the Month awards.
Junior track and field athlete Sage Ehresman (Jr., Sully, Iowa, Exercise Science) earned the Male award, while senior basketball player Vashti Nwagbaraocha (Sr., Milwaukee, Wis., Exercise Science) claimed the Female honor. The award is the first for Ehresman and the fifth for Nwagbaraocha.
In four meets, Ehresman won three shot put competitions. He highlighted his month by hitting a provisional-qualifying mark at 51-0.
In nine games, Nwagbaraocha averaged a near double-double with 17.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. The forward also managed 17 steals, 16 assists, and eight blocks. She shot 54.3% from the field and 87.0% from the free-throw line. While leading WPU to an 8-1 record during the month, she reached double figures in eight games (four double-doubles) with a high of 31 points (four contests with at least 22 points).
