Edna Johnson

Edna Johnson, 56, of Rose Hill, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa. She was born April 30, 1955, at San Luis Obispo, California, the daughter of Robert Charles and Mae Lorraine Carlisle. She graduated from Silver Creek High School in California with the class of 1973. On October 10, 1987, she was united in marriage to Donald Johnson in California. In 1989, they moved to Iowa. In 1996, Edna went to work for Clow Valve and was employed there currently. She enjoyed sewing, and delighted in spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Donald Johnson of Rose Hill; two children, Joshua (& Shannon) DeLaCruz of Oskaloosa and Danielle (& Ben) Klein of Riverview, Florida; a daughter in law, Molly Bruns of Sigourney; ten grandchildren, Gage DeLaCruz, Payton Brown, Gracie DeLaCruz, James Smith, Matthew Ammari, Haven Larvick, Kailee Klein, Kraven Klein, Annabelle Johns, and Zakkary DeLaCruz; her mother, Mae Carlisle of Tracy, California; a sister, Nola (& Newton) Kamakani of Tracy, California; and two brothers, Eugene Carlisle of Morgan Hill, California and William Carlisle of Tracy, California.

She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Robert Carlisle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Del Bittner officiating. Burial will be in the Pringle Cemetery southwest of Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin on Sunday after 12 noon in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 3-5 Sunday afternoon to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the Edna Johnson Memorial Fund.
