Edith Morrison, 97 of Millersburg and formerly of Montezuma, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Edith Elma Morrison, the daughter of Robert and Effie (Wagner) Morrison was born on August 21, 1917 near Guernsey, Iowa.
Edith attended Guernsey High School. She farmed and cared for her parents, brothers and sisters.
Edith was a member of the Guernsey United Methodist Church, the Grinnell Regional Medical Auxiliary and Poweshiek County Farm Bureau.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Effie Morrison; her brother, Clair Morrison; and her four sisters: Lola Foster, Essie Goodman, Neva Readnour and Velma Simmons.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.
Burial will be held in the Guernsey Cemetery in Guernsey, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Guernsey United Methodist Church or Grinnell Regional Hospice.
