EBF Coach Gladys Genskow comments about the team, “This was great match with Davis County for a conference win tonight. The energy level was up for both teams. We passed well and was aggressive on serving. I am proud of how well the girls handled the pressure of the atmosphere playing in Davis County’s gym. It is always a tough place to play. I spoke to the team prior to the match and told them what to expect. There were only 2 players that had any experience playing in that gym at this level. They were mentally prepared to not let that interfere with their play. Davis County battled tough against us. Our blocking is getting better along with our decisions on bettering the ball. We still have errors we have to clean up, but overall we played a solid match tonight. The girls are so excited for the win. Great job for our bench support as well. They keep their cheering rolling the entire match and helped keep the momentum at a high level for us. It was truly a total team effort on this win tonight. We are off until Tuesday where we will face our last conference match at Albia.
