Debbie (Wolvers) Riddick, 55, of Douglasville, Georgia, and formerly of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at her home in Douglasville. She was born February 9, 1963, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Jerry and Colleen Playle Wolvers.
Debbie attended Oskaloosa High School. Debbie went on to graduate from Southeastern College in Fort Madison, Iowa.
On December 17, 2016, she was united in marriage to Thomas Riddick in Savannah, Georgia.
Debbie enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to go camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She delighted in spending time with her family and always looked forward to visiting her grandchildren.
Her family includes her husband, Thomas Riddick of Douglasville, Georgia; her daughter, Lisa (& Josh) Poverud of Spicer, Minnesota; two grandsons, Jack and Lucas Poverud; a sister, Connie (& Robert) Edwards of Oskaloosa; a brother, Anthony (& Adenna) Wolvers of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Molly Goodrich officiating.
Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery at New Sharon. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Wednesday after2 p.m. at the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 6-8 Wednesday evening to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Stephen’s Memorial Animal Shelter.
