Oskaloosa, Iowa – A lot of things have changed since Lyle Siefering purchased Hawkeye Real Estate in 1988. It used to be a home buyer would pick up a telephone and contact a real estate agent or walk into an office during regular business hours to begin the searching process. Today, technology and the Internet play significant roles in new home searches.

Hawkeye Real Estate recognizes the significance of technology and has added an interactive real estate touch display as part of their marketing efforts. This will provide their clients an additional, stress-free opportunity to successfully find their new homes. Installed the first week of April, WindoVision® utilizes through-glass technology which is fun and easy to use. The lighted, always-on-display provides a 24/7 research option for those looking to purchase a new home.

“This advancement is another way to market our listings,” said Chris Roach Principal Broker and Property Manager at Hawkeye. “It allows our clients and potential clients to review listings at their convenience when they aren’t surfing the web. It complements our on-line search abilities and takes things even one step further.”

Those walking by Hawkeye’s office on the northeast corner of the square in downtown Oskaloosa, have the ability to review a slide show of listings, filter listings by typing in price criteria, watch videos of homes’ interiors, calculate house payments, and even request more information by text or email. Viewers can even have a Hawkeye Real Estate agent call them while in front of the display, standing on the sidewalk and protected from the weather by Hawkeye’s canopy.

Stacey Gleason, Hawkeye Property Manager Assistant and MIS Coordinator, has worked closely with the WindoVision ® installation and set-up. She said this is one of a select few in Iowa and, according to windovision.com, only 600 Touch Point Systems are installed in the United States and Canada.

The display is designed to look like a cell phone, is easy to operate, and allows for immediate interaction for potential real estate buyers. The public and especially home buyers, are invited to stop and interact with the new technology. Hawkeye Real Estate is located at 121 High Avenue East in Oskaloosa.
