Concert Returns To A Massive Crowd

Phil Joel of Zealand during his performance in Oskaloosa on Saturday evening.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Concert on the Square became a concert in the mall, as the weather threatened to wreck the return of the popular downtown event.

Penn Central Mall threw open their doors and invited Concert in the Square to join them on Saturday evening, as it returned to Oskaloosa after taking a year off.

Wyndell Campbell was one of those individuals who worked to make the evening happen.

Campbell thanked Penn Central Mall for opening their doors, and all of the many sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible. He said it was great to see so many people out praising God, and enjoying time with their families and friends.

Zealand was the closing act and featured frontman Phil Joel, who gained his fame as a member of the group Newsboys.

Officials estimate that upwards of 1500 people were on hand for the free concert.
