Des Moines Register “Top Workplace” Award

OTTUMWA, IA –Community 1st Credit Union received its ninth straight Des Moines Register “Top Workplace” award. The newspaper recognized 132 Iowa companies and organizations for the 2024 honor on September 22nd.

C1st was 9th on the list of 55 midsized-company employers. The employer honor is based on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a research firm specializing in organizational health and workplace environment.

“We are proud to be named a Top Workplace in Iowa for the ninth year in a row,” said C1st President and CEO Greg Hanshaw. “Receiving this recognition for nine years in a row is a testament to the strength and empowerment of our team. Additionally, being in the top 10 for four consecutive years makes this achievement even more special.”

Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution, and connection. WorkplaceDynamics first published the list in 2006.
