Oskaloosa–Zachary Chegwidden (Jr., Essex, England, Business Management) put one final accolade on a tremendous resume as the NAIA Ping all-region teams were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America last Thursday.

The junior, who is graduating early, was named to the North Region squad for the third time in his career.

Chegwidden ended the 2018-2019 season with a 73.8 stroke average in 18 rounds of play. All of his rounds were below 80, including four under par (low of 68). He was in the top 10 in all eight events with one tournament crown.

Chegwidden finished his career by breaking the program’s career stroke average record at 73.3 in 68.5 rounds. The first All-American in school history, in addition to his three all-region laurels, he was also a Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Year, eight-time tournament champion, and seven-time Heart Player of the Week.
