CEDAR FALLS — Central College wide receiver Jeremy Snead (senior, Altoona, Southeast Polk HS) caught five touchdown passes and was named the co-MVP of the All-American Bowl in the UNI-Dome Saturday night.

Snead’s Stars team rolled past the Stripes squad, 54-14. Snead shared MVP honors with Wartburg College quarterback Danny Stiefel, who also set a record with six TD passes. He was also the holder for extra points and field goals.

The All-American Bowl began in Minnesota in 1996 and features top NCAA Division II and III seniors. In previous years it was played in various cities across the country.

Snead was a three-time all-Iowa Conference honoree as well as receiving Capital One Academic All-District team honors and academic all-conference recognition. He ranks second in school history in career pass receptions with 129 for 1,775 yards. Snead also competed for a squad of Division III all-stars at the Tazon de Estrellas game in Mexico Dec. 17.
