PELLA—The Central College men’s and women’s track and field squads are ranked seventh and 14th respectively in the fourth week of power rankings produced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Dutch men moved up from their ninth-place position in last week’s rankings while the women held steady at 14th. McMurray (Texas) still holds the top spot in the men’s rankings while Iowa Conference foe Wartburg retained the No. 1 ranking for the women.

Teams are scored using a points system that objectively measures the top performances across the country in each event.

Both squads competed at the Jim Duncan Invitational at Drake Stadium April 13-14. No team scores were kept. The Dutch will play host to the Central Open Saturday at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with running events starting at 11 a.m.
