Central moves up in softball rankings
Central College
PELLA—A 14-game winning streak helped Central College climb one spot in the NFCA Division III rankings.
The Dutch moved from No. 11 to No. 10 after a 10-0 week in Tucson, Ariz. raised their overall mark to 14-2.
Undefeated Emory (Ga.), now 24-0, moved into a first-place tie with Linfield (Ore.) (15-2). Both schools received four first-place votes. Iowa Conference rival Luther dropped from No. 4 to No. 5 while Coe moved up two positions to No. 17.
Wis.-La Crosse, which was defeated by Central 10-1 March 14 in Arizona, fell out of the rankings.
Central returns to action April 1 at Grinnell, meeting Washington-St. Louis (Mo.) and Dubuque in non-conference games.
