Central lands 42 on fall academic list

Central College

PELLA—Central College has 42 student-athletes on the fall sports academic all-Iowa Conference squad.

Three-time league MVP and women’s golfer of the year Sarah Paulson (senior, Ottumwa) is among the Dutch standouts that also excel academically. Also listed is Chelsea Grieger (senior, Pella), a three-time all-conference volleyball player who smashed three school records this season, and Jeremy Snead (senior, Altoona, Southeast Polk HS), a three-time league selection in football.

To qualify for the honor a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and achieve a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale).

Central had 41 student-athletes on last year’s fall team.
