Bonatto Wins Second Accolade

Oskaloosa–Eduardo Bonatto (Sr., Rio Grande, Brazil, Business Management) recorded a pair of multi-goal games and his efforts netted him Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors Monday.

Bonatto won his third career award (second this year) after helping the Statesmen (13-3, 8-1 Heart) to wins over Clarke and Graceland.

The senior tallied two goals in WPU’s 5-0 win over Clarke and then added two more in the squad’s 5-0 victory against Graceland. Bonatto finished with 10 shots, including seven on goal.

For the year, Bonatto has a team-leading 15 goals with five assists for a team-high 35 points. He has four game-winners and is 5-for-5 in penalty kicks. The senior leads the Heart in goals and points and is 10th in assists. He is first in the league in shots (67) and shots on goal (42) as well.

The award is the fourth for WPU this year.
