Bonatto, Evans Honored as Players of the Month

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced the recipients of the August-September Player of the Month awards.

Senior soccer player Eduardo Bonatto (Sr., Rio Grande, Brazil, Business Management) earned the Male award, while senior golfer Brittany Evans (Sr., Fernley, Nev., Business Management) claimed the Female honor. The award is the first for both student-athletes.

Bonatto scored seven goals with four assists (18 total points), leading the Statesmen to an 8-2 record. He posted two game-winning goals and was a perfect 3-for-3 in penalty-kick opportunities. He was a one-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Evans averaged 75.7 strokes per round over the span of seven rounds, including one round under par. She posted 71 twice and was in the top four in all three of her tournaments. The senior claimed medalist honors at the Mount Mercy Dual.
