Inez Lucille Bender age 94, of Oskaloosa passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday April 9, 2012 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery (South) in Fremont. Inez was born August 18, 1917 in rural Wapello County the daughter of Goldie and Priscilla Matthews Kepler. She attended LaFayette Country School. She was united in marriage to Charles Piper who preceded her in death and later was united in marriage to James Bender he also preceded her in death. Inez worked at KFC, the Overall Factory, and Oskaloosa Food Products. She loved life and enjoyed being with friends and family. Her hobbies included crafts made out of plastic canvas, sewing, dancing, she loved bowling (on bowling leagues) and never missed bingo while a resident at the Oskaloosa Care Center. Inez enjoyed traveling especially with her son in his RV. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Her family includes her daughter; Kay (Pete) Stull of San Antonio, Texas, two granddaughters, Sherrie Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas and Beth Stull of Flower Mound, Texas and four great grandchildren, Andrew and Miranda Rodriguez and Hannah and Sarah Stull. Inez was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter: Patricia Piper; a son: Bob Piper; a sister: Marie Phelps; and a brother: Raymond Kepler.
