Charlie Bandstra breaks bat at USSSA scrimmage night
Lacey Recreation Complex’s 5-plex saw lots of action over Easter break when eight USSSA teams scrimmaged double headers on four of the five fields. In one exciting moment, 10 year old Charlie Bandstra of the Oskaloosa 12U team, Lighting, made a hit that split his bat into two pieces. Lighting lost their first game but came back in the second with a win. The Oskaloosa USSSA boys will host a tournament later in the season at the complex.
