Ottumwa, IA – Sophomore Emilio Arellano Lamas (Aguascalientes, Mexico/Instituto Universitario Mexico) of the No. 5 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men’s Golf squad has been named a 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I PING Honorable Mention All-American, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.
Along with Arellano Lamas’ All-American honor, the sophomore was joined by teammate Nathan Pouchoulon (Hampshire, United Kingdom/The Sixth Form College Farnborough) on the NJCAA Division I PING All-District Central team, also announced on Tuesday. The duo helped the Warriors to a runner-up finish at the 2025 NJCAA DI Men’s Golf Central District Championship and an automatic berth to the 2025 NJCAA DI Men’s Golf National Championship in Newton, KS. Both individuals tied for sixth overall at the District championship.
Arellano Lamas produced a breakout season as the lone returner from last year’s squad. The sophomore carried the Warriors throughout the duration of the year, capturing six individual top-10 finishes, including medalist honors at the Blue River Classic. Arellano Lamas tallied five top-10 finishes over his last six outings to build momentum heading into the national tournament at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
Pouchoulon, who joined the Warriors for the spring portion of their schedule, added depth to the roster and starred on the course. Pouchoulon carded three top-10 finishes in five tournaments, including a runner-up finish at the Western Illinois Invitational in Silvis, IL April 4-5.
Arellano Lamas and Pouchoulon will lead the Warriors to the national tournament, set to get underway May 13 at Sand Creek Station. Fans can follow all the action live: 2025 NJCAA DI MEN’S GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
