After School Fun Club Ventures Out for Fishing Trip

The After School Fun Club organized by YMCA’s Youth Coordinator, Kathy Rothfus, took a field trip to the pond located by the Lacey Recreation Complex along the Mahaska Community Recreation Trail. Ranger Laura De Cook with Mahaska County Conservation joined the field trip to assist the excited youth during the fishing venture. Dedicated volunteers stood by to help untangle lines while smiling youth spread out and took turns casting their poles.
