Statesmen Improve to #31 in NAIA

Oskaloosa–Two more solid weeks of play has the William Penn baseball team inching closer to being ranked as the NAIA released its fourth top-25 poll Tuesday.
WPU, which is 29-7 overall (14-3 Heart), is unofficially 31st in the country with 21 points, moving up three rungs since the last poll.
The squad is one of just two from the Heart of America Athletic Conference as Central Methodist is still in the top 25 at #16.
Southeastern (Fla.) is still #1 in the NAIA with 491 points. Tennessee Wesleyan is second, while Georgia Gwinnett, Faulkner (Ala.), and Cumberlands (Ky.) round of the top five.
William Penn travels to Marshall, Mo. Friday to face Missouri Valley in Heart action at 1 p.m.
