Warne Notches Weekly Recognition for Fifth Time This Season

Oskaloosa–New season, same results for Elise Warne (Sr., Melbourne, Australia, Exercise Science) as she was once again named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Warne won her fifth laurel of the year and 10th of her career award after heading William Penn against numerous NCAA Division II programs at the Missouri Western Holiday Inn Express Invitational last Monday and Tuesday.

The senior carded a 77 the first day and followed it up with an 83 for a two-day score of 160 that tied for ninth out of 82 players.

For the year, Warne owns a 76.5 stroke average in 12 rounds. Nine of her rounds have been in the 70s with a low of 71 twice. She has won three tournaments and has been in the top 10 in six of seven tournaments.

The award is the sixth for WPU this year.
