Oskaloosa–With its spring season opener just a few days away, the William Penn women’s golf team is sitting in a nice spot as the NAIA’s fourth top-25 poll was released Friday.

WPU continues to be 22nd nationally with 157 points. The Statesmen are the Heart of America Athletic Conference’s lone representatives. Morningside (#30) joins the navy and gold as the only other Iowa program in the poll.

The top five did not witness any movement with SCAD Savannah (Ga.) still #1 with 465 points and 14 first-place votes. Dalton State (Ga.) is second with two first-place votes, while British Columbia (final vote), USC Beaufort, and Texas Wesleyan rounding out the top five.

William Penn begins its spring campaign next Monday and Tuesday in Oskaloosa as it hosts the Mike “Fluff” Cowan Invitational at Edmundson GC.
