Grinnell soccer squads honored with Team Academic Awards

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Grinnell College men’s and women’s soccer teams have been honored with Team Academic Awards from the United Soccer Coaches for the 2016-17 campaign.

Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster. Grinnell’s men had a GPA of 3.46 and the women a 3.43.

In total, 813 collegiate teams (282 men, 531 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including 195 schools who had both their men’s and women’s programs among the recipients.
