Oskaloosa–Raunice Butler (Jr., Nassau, Bahamas, Physical Education) and Riley Ludwig (Jr., Big Bear City, Calif., Psychology) led William Penn to a perfect week and for their efforts they were named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week Monday.

Butler pulled down the Offensive honor, while Ludwig claimed the Defensive accolade; the awards are the first for both players. WPU has now won three awards this year.

Butler recorded three goals, while Ludwig tallied 32 saves as the Statesmen defeated Clarke as well as MidAmerica Nazarene, which entered the week at #30 in the NAIA.

Butler scored once against the Crusaders and managed both goals in the Pioneer matchup to up her season total to seven for 2017.

Ludwig started her week with 18 stops against CU and then tacked on another 14 versus MNU. She is currently 3-4 with a 1.65 Goals Against Average and one shutout. The junior has posted 65 saves this fall.
