OHS Concert Band Winter '10

Oskaloosa Community School’s Band Department presented Winter ’10 at George Daily Auditorium on Monday December 13, 2010.

The 7:30 show started off with the 5th grade band playing Hot Cross Buns, Rolling Along, A Mozart Melody, London Bridge, Jingle Bells. The band is directed by Ms. Tara Meade.

The Sixth Grade band was up next, playing the following selections. Ukranian Bell Carol, Crater Lake Overture, Voodoo Dance and Twisted Night Before Christmas, also directed by Ms. Tara Meade.

The evening ended with the OHS Concert Band playing 5 selections. The first song, Christmas Fanfares was directed by student teacher Mrs. Gidget Utterback. Mr Doug Gibson took back the conductor stand for the next 2 selections of Emmanuel Variants and Rhapsody On Spanish Carols. Mrs Utterback took back over for We Wish You A Merry Christmas, and the final song conducted by Mr. Gibson was Sleigh Ride.
