Oskaloosa High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Jenkins as the new high school head football coach.

Jake Jenkins brings strong experience to this position. Jenkins has been Oskaloosa High Schools defensive coordinator for the past 2 seasons and before that spent 5 seasons as an assistant coach at William Penn University. Jake currently teaches science at Oskaloosa Middle School.

“The Oskaloosa community, the school district, and the football program all mean a great deal to myself and family,” said Coach Jake Jenkins “I’m extremely excited to fill this new role and will perform it to the best of my ability.”

Football is in Jakes blood. Jakes father John is a Hall of Fame coach and a Lifetime Achievement Award winner given by the National Football Foundations Football Hall of Fame. John spent 17 years as the head coach at Newton High School while making 2 state championship appearances.

“We are extremely excited to name Jake our head football coach,” said Ryan Parker, Oskaloosa Activities Director. “He has the drive, the ability to communicate and the foundation to be an unbelievable head coach. He’s up to the challenge and ready to put his mark on this program.”
