Police investigate the scene of a traffic accident along South D on Friday evening.

Oskaloosa, Iowa – An accident in a residential portion of Oskaloosa resulted in hours of investigation for the Oskaloosa Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol on Friday night.

An accident report by the Iowa State Patrol says the call came in at 6:25 pm, at the intersection of South D Street and 3rd Ave West. Six-year-old E.H. was taken to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines as a result of the accident.

The Iowa State Patrol says that 50-year-old Tony Hol, driving a 2004 Nissian Frontier, was southbound on South D Street and was struck by H. Hinkle was on a manually propelled scooter.

The report says that the child was crossing the roadway from a driveway on the east side of the road and traveled west.

Hinkle’s condition is unknown at the time of this report.

The accident remains under investigation.
