Supervisors Approve Roof Repair Plan
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Mahaska County Board of Supervisors met on Monday. All Supervisors were present for the first meeting in December.
The Board opened a public hearing for comments about the roof repair of the Mahaska County Courthouse. Since the project will be over 100,000 the county is required to have the plans for repair made in resolution format. Terracon provided bid documents and contract documents for re-adhering the tile on the roof of the courthouse.
The county will now move ahead with repairs to the roof that was damaged back on April 27th, 2014 as the result of a violent thunderstorm.
The Board approved a payroll change in the Recorders office, effective day being December 1, 2014.
Two appointments to the Mahaska County Board of Health included Deb Nielsen DeJong and Charles Argo, both being reappointed to the board.
In other business, the Supervisors approved paying the bills for November and approved the minutes for the November 17th meeting. All members of the board approved, including Doland who was absent from that meeting.
