Live Healthy Hike at White Oak Conservation Area
On Saturday, April 20th, celebrate “Earth Day” by joining the Mahaska County Conservation Board and the Mahaska Wellness Coalition on a trail hike around the White Oak Conservation Area. The hike will begin at 1:00 p.m. During the hike, hikers can help clean the park by picking up litter. Also, the MCCB Director, Dave Sedivec, will share how the Mahaska County Conservation Board is helping improve water quality at White Oak. For more information, call MCCB at (641)673-9327.
The White Oak Conservation Area is located approximately 3 miles south of Rose Hill on Ventura Avenue. The park consists of a 20 acre man-made lake that has been stocked with bass, catfish and bluegill. It is equipped with a boat ramp, dock and fishing jetty. There are also two picnic shelters, grills, playground equipment and restroom facilities help make the area a great place to host events. Check out this park with us on April 20th!
