Opinion Poll Remains Open Over Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The debate over the U.S. Supreme Court decision last week over the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act continues. The talk around park benches, parades, porches and watering holes of all kinds continue to center around the decision, and its impact it will have on nearly every American’s life.
Whether the bill is right or wrong, it seems to have no middle ground within the two parties and, for the most part, voters seem fairly split as well.
Donna Arendt commented on the Oskaloosa News Facebook page saying, “I think very few of us know exactly what all is in this bill. It’s not all about healthcare. I doubt that anyone truly has an understanding of the impact it will have on them – including myself. That is the scary part. I feel it is strictly a partisan issue. If you are on the left, you wanted the bill to stand, and if you are on the right, you didn’t.”
CRI asked Oskaloosans what they thought about the ruling. For this week’s Oskaloosa Speaks Out, CRI asked if the court made the right decision. Should the healthcare law, including the individual mandate, have been upheld?
