Work Before Your Play

Cassie Mantz and Sandra Blom help paint props from the upcoming production of Peter Pan

Oskaloosa, Iowa – It might be spring break for Oskaloosa School students, but a few have found a way to keep busy during the down time.

The Oskaloosa Middle School has been working on their production of Peter Pan, and for the second day in a row, students and volunteers have been heading to George Daily Auditorium to help build sets and props for their upcoming production.

In the black box area of George Daily you could find students sawing, building, and painting fake walls, beds, and every other prop needed for the show.

Nearly 30 students make up the cast and crew. It is made up mostly of middle school students, although there are some high school students that will be performing too. The students, along with others, are helping to build sets and are helping with the lighting department.

Mark down April 13th and 14th for the days to see how the finished product looks.

There will be an admission charge, an early estimate puts the cost at$5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. Activity passes will be accepted.
