Bake Sale To Benefit Accident Victims

Oskaloosa, Iowa – An Oskaloosa mother, Danielle Levy, was injured in an accident in Des Moines, Sunday, March 4th. Her son, Fredrick Morris Jr. was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were injured badly, but Fredrick was taken to Blanks Children’s Hospital and put into intensive care. After showing signs of improvement, and he was able to start breathing on his own, Fredrick lost his life on Saturday, March 10th to his injuries. “He is remembered as the boy who was always smiling at everyone; he was always so happy.” was how Whitney Leighton remembers Fredrick.

On March 14th, there will be a memorial held for Fredrick Morris Jr. There will be a bake sale, along with a silent auction on items that local businesses have donated to raise funds for Fredrick’s funeral services.

Penn Central Mall will be hosting the memorial in the center court from 12 to 7 pm.

At the memorial there will be donations to bid on from the following businesses: Keldermans Hobby Shop, Ricks Motorcross Connection, Harvest Point, Orschelns, Studio 404,Mc Donalds, Hy-Vee, Salon Two Twelve, Arnolds Motor Supply, Summers Car Credit, Oskaloosa News, and many more. Also Jesse “Iron Jaw” Sanders will be there signing autographs to help support the memorial.

The organizers would like to say, “Thank you to all the local businesses that donated, it means so much to those of us setting up this bake sale and benefit.”
