Osky Girls Fall To Panthers

Kena Veldhuizen gets fouled by a Mt. Pleasant Panther during action Tuesday night

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The 4-3 Girls Basketball team squared off Tuesday night against the Panthers of Mt. Pleasant. Mt. Pleasant is 5-4 on the season after handing Oskaloosa their second loss in a row with a final score of 48-40.

Kena Veldhuizen topped the scoring charts for Oskaloosa with 15, but Kenzie Gott made her presence known by adding an additional 14. Allie Christenson added 4, Taylor Crawford added 3, and both Sarandyn Curtis and Kesley Kollasch each added 2.

Gott controlled the board for Oskaloosa by pulling down a combined 9 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. Allie Christenson served up 4 assits and 2 steals, while Taylor Crawford added 3 more steals for the Indians.

Taylor Shull lead the Panters in scoring with 22 as Taryne Shull added 13 additional points to make a potent one, two offense.

The Indians will be back in action once again after the new year in Pella on the 3rd.
