MUNICIPAL RUNOFF ELECTION
ELECTION FACT SHEET
Election Date: Tuesday, December 6, 2011
Poll Hours: 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. for Beacon, Rose Hill, and University Park
Voter Eligibility To vote in a Municipal Election, one must be a U.S. Citizen, 18 Requirements: years of age and a registered voter residing in Mahaska County
Voter Registration: Early Registration forms must be postmarked by Monday, November 21, 2011. Registration forms are available in the Auditor’s Office or on line at www.sos.ia.us/elections. Early Registration in person must be completed on or before, Monday, November 28, 2011, 5:00 P.M. in the Auditor’s Office. After November 28th, registration can be done at the polling location using proper ID.
Where to Register: The Mahaska County Auditor’s office, 1st Floor of the Court House, 106 South First St., Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
Registration Name and address changes within Mahaska County may be made
Changes: any time up to and including election day. Prior to election day, changes are made by the same means as registration. On election day, changes may be made at the voter’s new polling place. Changes of address from outside Mahaska County are considered new registrations, putting the 10 day registration in force.
Results: Final figures for the Municipal Runoff Election will be available around December 13, 2011.
