Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Christmas Tree at Wal-Mart is still very full of opportunities to share with a child in our community.

Nearly 350 children have been added to the tree, and at last count, less than 40 have been bought for.

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Posse, Oskaloosa Police Association, Oskaloosa Firefighters, Wal-Mart, and Wiggs Country Store are already committed to helping, but more help is needed this year. Businesses and other groups interested in helping are encouraged to make a trip to the tree and select what they are capable of helping with.

The list of children comes from SEIDA when parents request to be put on the list after they have been approved for assistance this winter.

Time to shop and help will be running out in the near future.
