Presidential Fitness Award Winners announced at Oskaloosa Middle School

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Seventeen middle school students were honored at the first trimester awards assembly for achieving the Presidential Fitness Level in their physical education classes. To achieve this award the student must reach the 85th percentile in the follow fitness tests: The Mile Run, Push-up, Curl-ups (sit-ups), Sit and Reach (flexibility test) and the Shuttle Run.

The award winning students were:

6th grade: Alex Hanna, Ruby Johnson and Brynn Shaull

7th grade: Kamryn Beers, Sienna DeJong, Natalia James, Willis Knox, Aubrey Miller, MacKenzie Miller, Kaity Richmond, Bennett Spry, Maycie Stanbro and Leah VanMaanen

8th grade: Brady DeJong, Tori Palmer, Maria Settimi and Kylee Silliman
