Residents Stay Up Late For ‘Breaking Dawn’

Crystal Seymour and her daughters were on hand for the debut of 'Breaking Dawn'

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The brisk November night of the 17th was the deadline for the much anticipated release of ‘Breaking Dawn Part 1,’ the fourth in Twilight movie series.

‘Breaking Dawn’ is expected to be the second highest grossing film of 2011 behind the latest Harry Potter movie.

“I wanted to see it because I saw all the rest of them, so I have to see this one too,” Katy Belzer said.  “It’s worth it just to find out,” Belzer said of staying out late in the cold

Crystal Seymour responded with “Why? Hello!” when I asked her why she and her daughters made the trip out to see the release of the movie. “I love it. It’s so neat. I’m team Jacob.” With that announcement, there were some high five’s and then the debate of Team Jacob vs Team Edward broke out.

The movie was sold out by 5:00 pm, and the crowd came early for a good seat

Than Mott, owner of Penn Centre Theater, said the midnight showing was sold out. Mott said he sold out at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Reviews of those leaving the film were mixed, but the majority of those responding said they liked the movie and can’t wait until part 2 of the film is released.

Also on the theater’s schedule is the popular Merchant Movies held every holiday season. This years selections will be Rio on November 26th and 27th.
