Oskaloosa, Iowa – Christopher Allen Atchison entered a plea of guilty to the crime of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree Monday, November 14.

Atchison was arrested in July when the Oskaloosa Police Department was contacted by a member of the Iowa Department of Human Services regarding the report of possible child sexual abuse.

This child resides within the city limits of Oskaloosa. The child’s father (above defendant) was identified as the suspect in this report. The Department of Human Services contacted the Oskaloosa Police Department regarding this matter.”

The affidavit continued. “During this interview, the defendant admitted to this officer that he had engaged in a sex act with the above-mentioned 3-year-old. The defendant admitted that this act occurred at his residence,” an Oskaloosa Police Officer wrote in his affidavit. “Also during this interview, the defendant admitted that on or about the Summer months of 2010, he had committed a sex act with his then 4-year-old son, while giving the child a bath in his residence.”

Atchison was held on $50,000 cash only bond at the time of his arrest.
