Oskaloosa Firefighters Respond To Small Exterior Fire
Firefighters responded to this small fire Sunday evening
Oskaloosa, Iowa – An alarm went out to the Oskaloosa Fire Department around 8:00 pm this evening to the report of a house exterior on fire.
When firefighters arrived to the Hynick residence at 205 South M, they found a fence on fire along with the side of the house. The cause of the fire appears to have stemmed from some hot coals from a stove that caught some leaves on fire, that then spread to the fence and eventually the home.
Firefighters vented the smoke from the basement and family members arrived to help clean things up.
