Head-On Collision Claims The Life Of A Lynnville Man

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Two vehicles collided head-on on 140th St just west of Hickory Ave south of New Sharon at approximately 2:20 pm Friday afternoon.

A 2000 Ford F-150 driven by Frank Wallace Slatton,52, of Lynnville was traveling eastbound in the center of 140th Street, striking a 2000 Flat Bed Truck owned by Leaverton Eddyville Lumberyard and driven by Kurtis M Moore,32, of Ottumwa.

The driver of the F-150, Slatton, was transported to Oskaloosa by Mahaska Health Partnership by their ambulance. The driver of the flat bed, Moore, was transported to Pella Regional by their ambulance for his injuries.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on scene by the Mahaska County Sheriffs Office, Oskaloosa Fire Department, Mahaska Health Partnership Ambulance, and Pella Ambulance.
