Midwest Health Purchases Park Lane Assisted Living

Osceola, Oskaloosa, Creston and Knoxville, Ia. (October 5, 2011) – Midwest Health of Topeka, Kansas has negotiated the purchase of Park Lane Development’s Assisted Living Communities. This will include West View Assisted Living in Osceola, Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Oskaloosa, Prairie View Assisted Living in Creston and Park Lane Assisted Living and Memory Care in Knoxville. The sale will close November 1, 2011.
Midwest Health owns and operates 38 senior living communities in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Their services include Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Their current communities in Iowa are Northridge Assisted Living in Chariton and Homestead Assisted Living in Mason City. Park Lane Development and their team have delivered excellent care and service to their residents and Midwest Health is committed to continuing the same level of service.
Midwest Health also negotiated a land purchase agreement with Monroe County Hospital & Clinics in March of this year. The land will be used to build Albia’s only Assisted Living Community. A ground breaking date has not been set at this time.
Residents of Assisted Living have their own apartments and provide their own furniture. It is maintenance free living with meals and housekeeping provided. Additional services as needed by each resident are provided, such as help with medication, bathing and dressing. Resident leases are month to month.
