Obituary:
Rosina Helen Ruth Walter Follmer Mahoney, 88, formerly of Prescott, Kansas, died on September 29, 2011 at the West Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Facility in Knoxville, Iowa.

Rose was born July 24, 1923 in Stamford, South Dakota to Alexander and Katherine Schamber Walter. She married Helmuth Follmer March 15, 1941. After his sudden passing in 1966. Rose married John Mahoney October 16, 1982.

Rose resided many years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she operated a private Child Care from her home. After Helmuth’s passing she worked outside the home in Industrial Services.

Rosina was raised a Lutheran and held faithfully Jesus’ promise of resurrection in her heart. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where her parents were part of the original mission church in
Knoxville.

Rose has spent the past year in Knoxville and has been visited frequently by her nieces, nephews and good friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents and siblings of five sisters and one brother.

Rose is survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Internment will be north of Knoxville in Greenwood Cemetery. Luncheon will be served at Trinity Lutheran Church, 814 W. Pleasant Street Knoxville, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville or
Hospice of Central Iowa.
